The questions our customers ask most often about sizes, standards, certification and supply.

What size is an Australian Standard pallet, and what does 1165 x 1165 mean in practice?
The Australian Standard pallet is 1165mm x 1165mm. In practice, that means the pallet is designed to maximise space utilisation within Australian transport and warehousing systems, including standard racking, trucks and shipping containers. It is the most widely used pallet size in Australia and is suitable for a broad range of industries and products. Australian Standard pallets must have at least 23mm thick deckboards.
What does AS4068 compliance actually mean, and can a customer see your test report?
AS4068 is the Australian Standard that sets out the design, testing and performance requirements for timber pallets. Compliance means the pallet has been independently tested to verify it can safely perform under specified load conditions. Customers are welcome to request a copy of our test report for their own procurement, quality assurance or audit requirements.
What is the difference between ISPM-15 heat treatment and kiln drying?
ISPM-15 heat treatment is an internationally recognised phytosanitary treatment used for export timber packaging. Timber is heated to a prescribed core temperature for a specified period to eliminate pests and insects. Kiln drying is primarily used to reduce moisture content in timber. Kiln drying can generally satisfy ISPM-15 requirements if it is conducted under the required minimum conditions. The two processes have different objectives and different certification requirements.
Do you supply heat treated pallets for export, and what does that involve?
Yes. We supply ISPM-15 compliant heat-treated pallets for export markets worldwide. The process involves approved heat treatment, certification, marking and record keeping in accordance with export regulations. We can advise customers on specific destination country requirements and provide the necessary compliance documentation.
If our company requires Certified Sustainable Materials and our supplier provides proof that their timber supplier is certified, does this count?
No; your timber pallet supplier must also be certified against a Chain of Custody standard for the products to be certified as responsibly sourced, otherwise there is no validation that the timber they provide to you is actually certified.
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate where required. Our transport network allows us to service customers ranging from single-site operations to multi-location businesses across Australia. If a customer has a specific delivery requirement, we can usually tailor a solution to suit.
What are your lead times and your minimum order?
Lead times vary depending on product type, order volume and current demand. Standard products can often be supplied within a few business days, while larger or specialised orders may require additional production time. We do not enforce a strict minimum order quantity and work with each customer to find a practical supply arrangement.
If a customer's current supplier lets them down, how quickly can you take on their volume?
One of our strengths is manufacturing capacity and established timber supply partnerships. In many cases we can respond immediately to urgent requirements and rapidly scale production to support customers experiencing supply disruptions. The exact timeframe depends on volume and specification, but we regularly assist customers when continuity of supply is critical.
